David is a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Heitman’s Real Estate Debt group. He is an equity owner of the firm and a member of the firm’s Board of Managers and Debt Investment Committee. David is a portfolio manager for the firm’s real estate debt separate accounts and commingled funds. In these roles, he leads the portfolio and asset management teams to determine investment strategy, manage performance, and recommend client portfolio construction. Additionally, David oversees Heitman’s global capital markets responsibilities, which include developing strategy, advising, and executing the placement of property and fund-level financing across all property types in the United States, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Prior to joining Heitman, David was Head of North American Capital Markets at RREEF, National Head of Real Estate Mezzanine Finance for LaSalle Bank Corporation, and Managing Director in the Real Estate Merchant Banking group at Wells Fargo Bank.
David received a Bachelor of Technology, Architecture from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada, and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
