Irene is the Chief Strategy & Operations Officer, responsible for leading the firm’s efforts to optimize our processes and resource allocation, working in collaboration with colleagues in senior management to identify and prioritize areas of opportunity, set appropriate objectives and guidelines for assessing these opportunities, and make recommended enhancements to existing processes that align with the organization’s mission, vision, and performance minded tenet.  She also oversees Heitman’s Marketing and Product Strategy & Design groups. Irene is a member of the Global Management Committee and an equity owner of the firm. Prior to joining Heitman, Irene was the Director, Alternatives Product Manager at BlackRock, where she was responsible for formulating the firm’s alternatives product development and growth strategy globally. She has also held positions in Morgan Stanley’s Equity Capital Markets Group, where she structured, priced, and executed over 50 equity and convertible debt and derivatives transactions for over $15B in capital for many institutional clients. Irene began her career at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, first on the Fixed Income product team and later she helped found the Alternatives Strategies Group within Institutional Sales.

Irene received a BS degree in Economics with a Mathematics concentration from Bates College and an MBA in Finance and Management & Organizations from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She is a CFA and CAIA charter holder.
